At Christopher Reeves VA Primary School we provide an education of the highest quality which reflects Christian Values and beliefs, where all children can enjoy and achieve, and develop as confident, caring citizens of the future.
Our vision is to enable every child to flourish in their potential as a child of God; we are wholeheartedly committed to providing a curriculum that is rich and inspiring, and based on faith and the spiritual development of every child.
Our Christian values underpin everything we do in school. We are proud to have held the Values Quality Mark since 2010. Our two year values programme covers 11 values that are explicitly linked with Bible teachings. We focus on each value for half a term in Collective worship and throughout the school day. Children receive recognition for living the values through our celebrations assembly each week and this is communicated with parents through the newsletter.
We aim to provide a happy, secure, stimulating environment in which every child can achieve academic success and develop the necessary personal skills they need for their future. The first few years spent at school are among the most formative of a child’s life. At Christopher Reeves we try to ensure that children get the best possible start to their school career. We believe that this will be achieved with the close involvement of pupils, parents, staff, governors and the local and wider community.
The school was last inspected by Ofsted in September 2014, when the school was judged to be Good in all areas. The Inspection Report said, “Pupils are enthusiastic about learning and are proud of their school.” and “The behaviour of pupils is good. They work well together in the classroom and show respect for one another.”
